This is our main high volume vac-pump.
The vessel can hold a 5 gal. bucket
because of the large top,
The lid needed to be very thick. (1.25" acrylic)
Smaller scientific vacuum pumps work, only slower. 29 In. mercury is what you need.
The mixed material is put into the chamber.
The material will rise as air bubbles expand. Leave enough room
for 3 times the volume. If you can't, you will
need to watch and 'burp' the chamber to drop the
mix until it maxes out and boils down.
A friend of mine made his lid with 3/4 plex. It didn't hold....
